Psychedelics Integration
Now more than ever, people are turning to psychedelics for healing and spiritual growth. Psychedelics as a term is used to refer to substances such as LSD and psilocybin that alter perception, mood and cognitive processes. There is a growing body of scientific research showing the therapeutic potential of psychedelics.
Psychedelic medicines are not magic bullets; they show where the work needs to be done, but then one needs to do the work to create meaningful, lasting life-changes. The journey can be enhanced or wasted by one’s ability to contextualize, understand, and integrate the experience.
I wrote my thesis on Ayahuasca – a psychoactive plant brew that was originally used in religious rituals by ancient Amazonian tribes, and that is increasingly being used in contemporary Western society, despite its illegal status in most countries. The purpose of my thesis was to provide a greater understanding of the healing and transformation that occurs through Ayahuasca.
I've attended many conferences on psychedelic-assisted therapy, and have been giving trainings and speeches to various mental health professional groups on this topic. I help people integrate their psychedelic experiences, I can also help prepare for the sessions to get the maximum benefit. I do not offer psychedelic sessions.
